COD Men's Soccer Celebrate 10-Game Winning Streak

The Chaparral men's soccer squad is riding high, following their 10th consecutive win Sept. 24 against Southwestern Illinois University.

DuPage dominated the first half, garnering 10 shots on goal to SWI's three. Bahaa Hnahein scored with an assist from Alex Schuchardt. Hnahein has four goals in his 11 games with the Chaparrals this season.

SWI rallied in the second period outshooting the Chaparrals 10-2, but fell short on scoring, with COD's Librado Olivares gaining another goal, assisted by Krziz Czapka. Olivares has scored 14 goals this season.

The Chaparrals travel to Waubonsee Thursday, Sept. 28, and Rock Valley Friday, Sept. 29, for mid-season action. The team hosts Parkland (Oct. 3) and South Suburban (Oct. 5)

College of DuPage is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, National Junior College Athletic Association Region IV and North Central Community College Conference (N4C). The College's Athletics program offers eight men's and seven women's sports teams each year, including track and field, cross country, football, volleyball, golf, basketball, tennis, baseball, softball and soccer. All home games are played on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., and are free and open to the public.
