Upcoming: Free Learning/Networking Breakfast in Barrington on August 8th Sponsored by the National Association of Women Business Owners

BARRINGTON-- August 2, 2014 -- Barrington Connects' monthly meeting will feature North Barrington resident Nick Farina, managing partner of Voltage Digital, and Tom Marnell, president of TMM, who will discuss how to identify your best customers, keep those customers, and attract more like them.

Sponsored by the National Association of Women Business Owners, the event starts at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 8, in the Learning Center at Wells Fargo Advisors, 1000 Hart Road, Room 180, just North of Barrington High School. Coffee, juice, rolls and fruit will be available.

Barrington Connects is waiving the usual $10 fee for non-NAWBO members. Nevertheless, please register at nawbochicago.org to assure a place.

Farina said the session will be an informal discussion of topics such as calculating how much a customer is worth; the life stages of a customer relationship, and how to create a database that can capture the underlying motivation of customers while increasing marketing efficiency and lowering costs.

Nick is a former journalist, marketing executive, and entrepreneur. He also is a crisis communications specialist. Voltage is a video branding and marketing firm.

Nick also is a senior advisor to the Chicago City Treasurer, President-elect of the Chicago Newspaper Reporters' Association, member of NAWBO'S Leadership Council, and a U.S. Army Officer, retired.

Tom has 30 years of marketing strategy, research, and customer-acquisition and retention experience. He has held management positions at top advertising agencies and corporations. His consultancy specialized in marketing strategy and research. He also has taught graduate-level marketing courses at IIT and Roosevelt University, He enjoys working with entrepreneurs.
