Oct. 16: Author Sue William Silverman to conduct a reading and workshop

Sue William Silverman, author of two memoirs, a poetry collection and a book on the craft of writing nonfiction, will conduct a reading and workshop at the College of Lake County on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The events are free and open to the public and will be held at the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. The workshop for writers is from 3-4:15 p.m. in Room B239. The reading will begin at 7 p.m. in Room C003 (lower level conference center).

Silverman's works include “Love Sick: One Woman's Journey through Sexual Addiction,” which was made into a Lifetime television movie; “Because I Remember Terror, Father, I Remember You,” which won the Association of Writers and Writing Programs award in creative nonfiction; “Fearless Confessions: A Writer's Guide to Memoir,” which won honorable mention in ForeWord Reviews' book-of-the-year award; and a poetry collection, “Hieroglyphics in Neon.” Learn more at www.SueWilliamSilverman.com.
