Children’s health, safety fair set for Saturday

House District 64 State. Rep. Barbara Wheeler, a Republican from Crystal Lake, hosts a children’s health and safety fair on Saturday, June 8, at Grant High School, 285 E. Grand Ave., Fox Lake. The fair, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon, is free to attend and offers free refreshments and giveaways. The event will feature demonstrations, such as the Lake County Sheriff K-9 unit, information on Internet and bicycle safety, day care, tutoring, cyberbullying and more.
