Guest artist joins West Chicago City Museum for collage workshop

West Chicago, Illinois: March 6, 2013 - The West Chicago City Museum will be hosting a free Collage Workshop as part of its latest exhibit, Rites of Passage on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Guest artist Rachel Weaver Rivera, founder of Imagine Art Studio, will work with participants who are invited to bring paper and photo mementoes of some of their life milestones to be pieced together in a creative way.

Space is limited, so those wishing to take part in the workshop must register with the City Museum at museum@westchicago.org or (630) 231-3376. Families, as well as individuals, are invited to participate. Rites of Passage will close on Saturday, April 6, 2013. If you have not seen this exhibit exploring the pivotal events of West Chicagoans' lives, please stop by and experience these milestone life journeys before it closes. Currently, open gallery hours are Wednesdays - Fridays, noon - 4:00 p.m., and beginning in April, the Museum is also open on Saturdays, noon - 4:00 p.m. The City Museum, located at 132 Main Street, is a free institution.
