Arlington Heights Concert Band premier concert with new conductor

RLINGTON HEIGHTS CONCERT BAND SEASON PREMIER

WITH NEW CONDUCTOR MARK HENGESH

Arlington Heights Community Concert Band kicks off its concert season, Friday, 7:30 p.m., October 26th, performing Autumn Nights under the baton of its refreshing new Director, Mark Hengesh. Mark's goal for the band is to perform quality music at a high level, have fun, and create programs that will be as enjoyable for our audiences to hear as they are for the band to perform. Janet Curto, an original band member says, “I have been in the band for 32 years and it has always been challenging and refreshing to play for a new conductor. I am enjoying our rehearsals very much and like all the music Mark has selected for this concert and know the audience will like it too”.

The Arlington Heights Community Concert Band has always been a vital asset for adult musicians in the northwest suburbs. Joan Rogers, band president and percussionist states that the new director, Mark Hengesh, has years of experience as a community band director and a passion for concert band music. He chooses pieces from the incredible amount of music that is available for wind bands and incorporates something for everyone. The band is very excited to perform the music that Mark has chosen for our October concert as it is vibrant, dynamic and the audience will love every minute of the concert.
