Tri-Village Garden Club to hold plant sale May 12

The Tri-Village Garden Club of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood annual plant sale will be Saturday May 12, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. held at Banbury Fair at 211 Railroad Avenue in downtown Bartlett, (across the street from the old train depot). The following Saturday, May 19th is our rain date at Banbury Fair.

Everyone is invited to listen to "Chronicle of a Vegetable Garden" at the Tri-Village Garden Club's May 16th meeting at 7 p.m. at Poplar Creek Public Library at 1405 South Park Ave., in Streamwood.

Speaker Glen Grosch, member of the teaching staff at the Chicago Botanic Garden and certified arborist will be explain a full season of a Chicago vegetable garden with the focus on what to do, why and when. In just a few minutes, you will follow a successful home vegetable gardener from plant selection all the way through harvest.
