2012 Woman of Distinction Award reception at COD March 28

The winner of the 2012 Adade Wheeler Woman of Distinction winner will be honored at a reception at College of DuPage on Wednesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2800. This event is free and open to the public.

The program will include keynote speaker Theodora Ayot, North Park University History professor, who will present “The Changing Image of the African."

Named for former COD History Professor Adade Wheeler, the Woman of Distinction award has been given annually since 1983 to individuals who have made significant contributions to the personal and professional advancement of women through education, advocacy and motivation.

The winner of this award must reside, work or volunteer within Community College District 502. Priority is placed on activities that extend beyond the scope of the workplace.
