State rep to host job seeker seminar in Vernon Hills
State Rep. Carol Sente will host a Job Seeker Seminar from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at the College of Lake County’s Southlake campus, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills. Attendees will receive assistance on a variety of topics relevant to jobseekers, including sessions on improving written communication, interviewing, using available resources and starting and maintaining a small business. A panel of employers will be on hand to answer questions and career service booths will be set up outside the workshop rooms. Call (847) 478-9909.
