COD hosts Higher Education Diversity Career Fair Jan. 20
College of DuPage will host its inaugural Spring 2012 Higher Education Diversity Career Fair on Friday, Jan. 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the College's Student Resource Center, Room 2800.
“This free event is geared toward higher education candidates who are interested in meeting face-to-face with potential employers in the DuPage County area,” said COD Human Resources Manager Toni Woolsey. “College of DuPage is pleased to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn about jobs available in this industry, as well as offer a venue for employers who are searching to fill these vital positions within our community.”
Institutions registered for the fair so far include Elgin Community College, Joliet Junior College, Lewis University, Oakton Community College, and the University of Illinois-Springfield. Attendees will receive information on available higher education jobs and will have an opportunity to submit resumes, fill out applications and discuss their credentials with potential employers.
“While this event is open to all qualified individuals, we also hope to bring attention through this fair to the need for increased diversity in higher education,” Woolsey said.
