Deerfield woman named to council:

The Agency on Aging of Northeastern Illinois has appointed Martha Lee Thompsen of Deerfield to the advisory council. Thompsen will serve the remainder of an unexpired term as a representative of Lake County and will then be eligible for a full three-year term. Thompsen is retired after a career in health care administration, and most recently was the medical records director for a nursing home and Alzheimer’s disease care facility. She is active in a variety of civic and professional organizations, including extensive volunteer work with Little City of Palatine, the Special Olympics, Highland Park Hospital and the College of Lake County’s Foundation.
