Show your loved ones you care this holiday season with the gift of entertainment from the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd in Glen Ellyn.
Located 25 miles west of Chicago, the MAC is a state-of-the-art facility, housing three performance spaces, an art gallery and classrooms for College of DuPage academic programming. This unique facility has presented theater, music, dance and visual arts to more than 1.5 million people since opening in 1986. Last year, the MAC welcomed more than 75,000 patrons from the greater Chicago area to more than 230 performances.
The center offers free parking and group discounts and is home to Buffalo Theatre Ensemble and the New Philharmonic Orchestra.
The current 2011-2012 season offers a variety of performances, including comedian Larry Miller, acclaimed actor Hal Holbrook, Chicago Afro Cuban Latin Jazz Ensemble and others.
The MAC also offers its new MAC Kids Club. Kids age 12 and younger now receive special discounts, artist experiences and other perks.
MAC Kids Club members receive an ID card, sports sack, coloring pages, membership sticker and a free ticket for select MAC Kids Club events and 25 percent off all MAC events during the 2011-2012 season. Kids Club members also receive 25 percent off two tickets to any MAC event, including adult tickets.
The first 10 club members to stop by the Kids Club table and show their ID also receive a mystery prize at select shows.
