MLK scholarship applications due Dec. 1

Current College of DuPage students have until Dec. 1 to submit applications for the 2012 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship.

Two $1,000 awards are given each year to students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5. To apply, students must complete a three-page essay on the impact of Dr. King's values on their own lives, submit a letter of nomination and provide their full transcripts.

Scholarship recipients will be honored at the 17th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast, scheduled for Monday, Jan. 16, at Benedictine University.
