CLC alumni group presents LinkedIn seminar

If you believe that’s something you want to get into, the College of Lake County Alumni Association will present another in a series of informational seminars on professional online networking as a fundraiser.

“Unleash the Strategic Power of LinkedIn” is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the CLC Southlake Campus, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills.

Presenter Larry Kaufman, managing director of practice development for Blackman Kallick, conducts LinkedIn seminars to chief executive officers, human resources professionals banks, law firms and others.

Kaufman’s seminar will be designed to inform participants about how to build a strategic network with LinkedIn. There also are ways to incorporate LinkedIn for proactive and reactive career searches and to secure new clients and contacts.

Moreover, there will be tips on learning to connect with key decision makers for networking. The seminar is appropriate for user levels from basic to advanced.
