CLC home-school open house

Home-schooled students and their families are invited to attend an open house at College of Lake County from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 20 in room T326 at the Grayslake main campus, 19351 W. Washington St. The open house will include a campus tour and information from college staff from admissions, advising, testing and more. Families can learn about CLC’s acceptance of home-school credentials, how to make a successful transition from home schooling to college workload and ways to fit in and make friends with other students. Formerly home-schooled CLC students will also be present to answer questions. Light refreshments will be available. Similar to other pupils, home-schooled students are eligible to apply for the honors program with tuition-free classes and to participate in services offered by the counseling, advising and transfer center, writing and math centers and peer mentors. For information on the open house, contact CLC Enrollment Services at (847) 543-2090 or Meredith Amburn at (847) 543-2836.
