College Theatre Sets Summer Repertory Auditions

College of DuPage College Theatre will hold general auditions for two summer repertory productions from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8. in the Studio Theatre at the McAninch Arts Center at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The summer repertory schedule includes “Rapunzel's Journey,” an improvisational show staged at the MAC and community venues between June 17 and July 11, and Michele L. Vacca's adaptation of “Sleeping Beauty,” staged June 24 to July 10 at the MAC. Shows are directed by Connie Canaday Howard and Amelia Barrett, respectively.

Auditions for “Rapunzel's Journey” include improvisation and “Sleeping Beauty” requires cold script readings. Monologues are optional. Scripts for “Sleeping Beauty” are on reserve in the College Library. No experience is required to audition for either show.

Callbacks, if necessary, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 8. The cast list will tentatively be posted at noon Monday, May 9. Actors are required to register for Theatre 2211 upon being cast.
