Fundraiser to fight hunger

Food and art will be combined to fight hunger in the Third Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 at the College of Lake County Library Atrium, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. For a minimum donation of $10 per bowl, event attendees can purchase a handmade ceramic bowl and receive a serving of chili and cornbread. Members of the CLC ceramics club have created more than 1,000 bowls for the event. Chili is being prepared by the CLC Hospitality and Culinary Management program.
