WW South knocks off West Aurora
Wheaton Warrenville South edged visiting West Aurora behind a balanced offensive effort in the DuPage Valley Conference game. Kevin Bridges scored 13 points behind a trio of 3-pointers while Jason Schuman added 12 points, Reilly O’Toole had 9 points and Dan Roadman scored 8 points for the Tigers (9-8, 4-3) against West Aurora (9-6, 5-2).
Glenbard East 72, Wheaton North 62:
The Rams (15-2, 7-0) rallied from a 15-point third-quarter deficit to top host Wheaton North (9-8, 2-5) in DuPage Valley Conference action. Johnny Hill led all scorers with 23 points for Glenbard East. Dante Bailey added 21 points and Zach Miller had 14. Richard Finley paced the Falcons with 17 points and Jordan Wayhart scored 12 points.
Lisle 53, Manteno 47:
The Lions (6-12) advanced in the opening round of the Interstate Eight Conference tournament behind Chris Wray’s game-high 19 points. Kyle Frazier scored 10 points for Lisle, which took a 35-34 lead following a 15-6 third-quarter run.
Hinsdale South 66, Morton 57:
Andy Nkansah’s game-high 20 points powered the Hornets (12-6, 4-2) to a key West Suburban Gold win over visiting Morton (12-6, 4-2). Joe Petrak and Brock Benson each scored 13 points for Hinsdale South.
Oak Park 64, Glenbard West 61:
The Hilltoppers (6-10, 1-4) dropped the West Suburban Silver game in overtime despite 28 points from Michael Mache. Glenbard West’s Todd Lowery scored 15 points.
Lyons Twp. 80, Hinsdale Central 53:
The Lions (14-2, 5-0) stayed alone atop the West Suburban Silver standings by beating the visiting Red Devils (4-10, 1-4). Tom Garvin scored a game-high 23 points for Hinsdale Central.
