WW South, Glenbard South win tournaments

WW South 50, Proviso West 37: Annie Shain and Allie Zappia each scored 10 points for the Tigers (4-1), who won the Schaumburg Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

Glenbard South 43, Glenbard East 20: Nevena Markovic scored 11 points and pulled down 8 rebounds for the No. 15 Raiders (5-0), who won the Rachel Bach Memorial Tournament for the first time since 2007. Sarah Engelhardt added 8 points and Patrice Hicks 7 points and 6 rebounds for Glenbard South. Megan Shannon and Sarah Moylan each had 6 points for Glenbard East (0-4).

Montini 78, Lakes 24: Whitney Holloway had 21 points and 4 steals for the top-ranked Broncos at the Geneva Invitational. Whitney Adams added 13 points, Nikia Edom 10 points and Kelly Karlis 7 rebounds for Montini (3-0). The Broncos play No. 3 Geneva in today's championship game at 2:30 p.m.

Wheaton North 51, Hinsdale Central 36: Fantasia Vine poured in 20 points for the No. 7 Falcons, who roared out to a 35-12 halftime lead at the Hinsdale Tip-Off Tournament. Sydney Sharkey added 7 points for Wheaton North (3-1).

Waubonsie Valley 56, Huntley 49: Tami Morice scored 19 points, and No. 9 Waubonsie outscored Huntley 17-12 in the fourth quarter at the WarHawk Tournament at West Aurora. Rachael Ross added 12 points and Becky Williford 11 for the Warriors (5-0).

Immaculate Conception 46, Kaneland 41: Kaleigh Dempsey powered in 18 points and Allie DiVito had 10 for the Knights (6-2) at the Immaculate Conception Tournament.
