CLC contracts for finance, electrical work
College of Lake County has struck a three-year agreement with PMA Financial Network of Naperville to serve as the school's financial adviser.
Among other duties, the financial adviser will help the college manage its debt portfolio. The agreement also gives the college access to PMA's resources for countywide financial information for use in preparing revenue projections.
“In these challenging economic times, having a financial adviser will be particularly helpful to us in making decisions that are in the best interest to the college and to local taxpayers,” Board Chairman Barbara Oilschlager said.
In a separate agreement, CLC's board has approved a bid from Becker Electrical Group of Kenosha, Wis., to provide several improvements at the Grayslake campus for $395,581. The electrical project will include installing a new main switchgear in the A wing, replacing emergency generators in the B wing and erecting seven parking lot light poles on the north campus bordering lots two and three.
