Small business forum at CLC

"Thriving in today's economy" is the theme for the Small Business Success in Lake County event being held on Thursday, June 3, at the University Center of Lake County, located on the College of Lake County campus in Grayslake.

At the workshop, small business leaders will learn about valuable resources available to support Lake County businesses. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and includes a networking and resource breakfast, informational breakout sessions and an e-marketing success luncheon. The cost is $40. Space is limited and preregistration is required. To register, call (847) 543-2033, e-mail smallbusiness@clcillinois.edu, or visit SmallBusinessSuccessInLakeCounty.com.

At the new e-marketing success luncheon, participants will learn how Lake County business owners have used e-marketing to successfully promote and grow their businesses while networking with fellow business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals.

Also new is the expanded selection of breakout sessions including such topics as starting strong, going green, social networking, financing options, government contracting and many more. The complete list is available at SmallBusinessSuccessInLakeCounty.com. For information, call (847) 543-2033 or e-mail smallbusiness@clcillinois.edu.

The Illinois Small Business Development Center is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the College of Lake County.
