West Chicago 5, Naperville Central 3: Izzy Bruce went 2-for-3 and drove in 2 runs for No. 11 West Chicago (18-6, 5-1 DuPage Valley Conference), who moved into first place in the DVC near its halfway point.

Mary Connolly (15-4) struck out five. Katie Walker had a triple for No. 17 Naperville Central (12-8, 4-2).

Glenbard East 9, Lyons Township 7: Brittany Plimmer went 3-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBI for the surging Rams (10-11), who won their fifth straight. Megan Shannon went 3-for-4 with a single, double and triple.

Glenbard South 5, Kaneland 1: Tess DiIorio drilled her second homer of the year, a solo shot in the sixth, and drove in 2 runs for the No. 3 Raiders (19-2, 8-0 Western Sun Conference) in Maple Park. Brianna Meath went 3-for-3 with 2 triples and scored a run. Jess Wilkes (13-1) struck out seven in a 4-hitter.

Lake Park 17, Elgin 0: Vanessa Wegner hit a 2-run homer and had 3 RBI for the No. 7 Lancers (19-3, 9-2 Upstate Eight Conference), who won their 12th straight. Samantha Becker doubled, tripled, drove in 3 runs and scored twice.

Fenton 25, Proviso West 13: The Bison (8-12) exploded for 13 runs in the bottom of the first. Kelly Welch went 4-for-4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI and Marissa Santagata drove in 5 runs.
