Jacobs' Tamburrino joins the 1,000 club

Jacobs senior Maria Tamburrino joined the 1,000-point club Friday night when she scored 11 points in the Golden Eagles' 61-24 win over Dundee-Crown. Tamburrino needed 10 points to each the milestone. She is a 3-year varsity player.

Hampshire streak: Hampshire's 55-53 win over Burlington Central Friday night ran the Whip-Purs' Big Northern East winning streak to 27 straight games. The Whips' last conference loss came in the first East game of the 2007-08 season, 58-48, to Burlington Central.

">Durand 49, Westminster Christian 33: Sarah Rodgers recorded double-digits with 19 points, as well as broke the school record for steals in a season with 6 steals on the night, but the Warriors (10-15) were unable to come away with a victory falling to Durand at home.

CL South 55, McHenry 34: Katie Burton scored 18 points and Lauren Chrystal added 15 as CL South (16-11, 6-4) won in the FVC Valley.

Huntley 51, Marengo 37: Hillary Johnson had 12 points and Kadie Lowery and Carly Goede 10 each to lead Huntley (13-13) to a nonconference win.
