Cary-Grove d. Lake Zurich: The Trojans (20-4) continued their winning ways by defeating Lake Zurick 25-17, 25-21 in nonconference action. Kelly Lamberti paced the Trojan offense recording 8 kills while Abbey Heredia added 11 assists. Sam Mainzer led the defensive efforts with 11 digs.
Bartlett d. Larkin: The Hawks (18-4, 6-2) came out strong and cruised to an easy 25-8, 25-16 victory in Upstate Eight Conference play.
Senior Carly Sahagian recorded a game high 10 kills while classmate Alyssa Cazzato also recorded a game high 27 assists. Jacki Gulczynski registered 3 solo blocks defensively for the Hawks.
Burlington Central d. North Boone: The Rockets (15-6, 6-1) dominated North Boone with the serve Thursday night picking up a 25-6, 25-12 victory in the Big Northern East. Burlington Central recorded a total of 22 aces on the night. Stephanie Holthus led the serving attack with 12 aces to go along with 6 kills. Audrey Djukic recorded 5 aces and 2 kills while Samantha Bohne added 3 aces.
Marian Central d. St. Edward: The Green Wave (7-18, 0-6) remained winless in Suburban Christian Conference (Blue) action as they fell 25-23, 25-15. Callie Johnson and Stephanie Igielski paced the Green Wave attack with 5 and 4 kills respectively while Kristi Knott and Christina Stoyonovic added 3 kills apiece. Katie Ayello led the defense with 7 digs and Margie Haggenjos chipped in 4 digs.
Hampshire d. Richmond-Burton: The Whip-Purs (22-2) stayed hot Thursday pulling out a nonconference, road victory over Richmond-Burton 26-24, 25-14. Kara Wehrs led the defense with 8 digs to go along with her 13 assists while Amy Wehrs recorded a team-high 8 kills.
