ENTER THE SEWER - AN ALL-NEW IMMERSIVE HAUNTED ATTRACTION

DOWNERS GROVE-Hidden deep beneath the streets of Downers Grove lies something dark-something evil. A terrifying secret known to all, but never spoken of… until now! Thrill-seekers can take a decent into darkness and face their deepest fears in The Sewer, a new haunted attraction produced by the Downers Grove Park District. The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 10 pm in the Meadowbrook Shopping Center located at 2139 63rd Street in Downers Grove. This haunted experience is recommended for ages 10 and older and costs $10 at the door.

This haunted attraction marks the fourth year that the Downers Grove Park District has crafted a terrifying experience for the community. Previously held at the Lincoln Center for the last three years, the District hosted a trilogy of haunted house themes loosely based on the popular American Horror Story TV series. This year, the committee has created the ultimate spine-chilling event at an all-new location.

Matt Netrefa, Facility Manager at the Lincoln Center and The Sewer event coordinator said, "The location at the Meadowbrook Shopping Center has presented a blank canvas for us to tell a completely new and frightening story that the crowds are going to die for!"

The Sewer will take brave souls on a journey through near darkness to discover what lives below the streets of Downers Grove. Willing victims will encounter a maze of sinister demons among the depths of the underworld.

"Without revealing too much, just know that IT is going to be truly terrifying," said Matt Netrefa.

Want to be a part of the experience? The Sewer is seeking volunteers! Help create the horrifying scenes as an actor, or assist with operations throughout the two-day event. Volunteers must be ages 14 years and up (or 13 years with a parent volunteer). To sign up, visit dgparks.org or email aleclaire@dgparks.org.
