Business owners invited to webinar on legal issues

Attorney Kerry Lavelle will host a free webinar for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs at noon CDT on Wednesday, May 31.

Lavelle will focus on issues of business governance such as corporate formation, contracts, employee agreements and intellectual property.

Lavelle founded Lavelle Law and managed the firm through two decades of growth to its current structure of 26 attorneys serving more than a dozen practice groups including business law, litigation, entrepreneurial law, taxation and employment law. Registration for the free webinar is available at http://bit.ly/2qBT4Mg.

"Our firm has assisted small and mid-sized business owners for over twenty-five years," said Lavelle. "I will draw on that experience to share some of the critical steps that a new or established business should follow to minimize risk in their operations and finances."

Lavelle will explain essential concerns that should be addressed prior to starting a business and will provide direction to current business owners who may find themselves spending more time on legal and operational issues than running a profitable business.

"I'll be sharing some detailed information and look forward to taking questions from the attendees during the webinar," Lavelle said. "We have always embraced the latest technology and communications methods at Lavelle Law and I look forward to hosting this live online event."

Lavelle Law, Ltd. is located in Palatine with an additional office serving clients in the Chicago Loop. The firm was founded in 1989 as a single attorney practice with an emphasis on tax law.
