As the summer comes to an end, I have one more outtake from the DuPage County Fair. It's always fun to photograph the fair in the summer. It's especially fun to photograph the different animals at the fair, like these goats hanging out in their pen. While shooting a preview for the Arlington Million at Arlington International Racecourse I wanted to show the sense of speed. By shooting at a 60th of a second shutter speed and panning along with the horse and jockey I was able to get some motion blur but keep the jockey in focus. There is a sweet spot while panning where a portion of the image will be in focus while the rest of the frame is blurry.
