Marklund sets stage for 20th annual Top Hat Ball fundraiser

Marklund's 20th annual Top Hat Ball will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Chicago Marriott Downtown. This year, guests will enjoy a step back in time to the years of King Arthur and his roundtable for "A Knight in Camelot."

"Each year, our planning committee strives to create an unforgettable experience for our guests, and with this year being our event's 20th anniversary, we expect it to be the best Top Hat Ball yet," said Jeannine Zupo, director of special events. "Guests will be treated to action-packed live entertainment, impressive Medieval-style ambience, a truly chef-inspired meal, and new exciting auction items as we all gather for our biggest fundraising event of the year."

During the evening's program, longtime Marklund advocate Karen Golden will be honored with the Friend of the Year award. The Naperville resident is a former member of the Marklund board of directors, former board chairman, past Top Hat Ball event chair, and dedicated volunteer. "As we celebrate our 20th anniversary of Top Hat, it is so appropriate that we honor Karen for her many years of support to the event and to Marklund," Zupo noted.

Tickets are $350 per person. Various sponsorship packages are available. Detailed information on packages as well as online registration forms are available at www.marklund.org/tophatball. Room reservations at the Marriott, with a special Top Hat Ball rate, are also being accepted online.
