Kregor, a World War II veteran, is awarded the French Legion of Honor by Vincent Floreani, Consul General of France in Chicago, during a ceremony Sunday at Warrenville VFW Post 8081.  Kregor was a B-24 co-pilot with the 8th Air Force in the 467th Bomb Group and few 34 missions in France aiding the French resistance.

Eighty-four-year-old Richard Cook works on clearing his 100 foot driveway in Wheaton Tuesday morning after the first snow fall of the year. Cook cleared some snow the night before so he only had a couple of inches to clear. Cook, who has a snow thrower said "if I can clear it in less than an hour, I use a shovel."

Baum started doing this after he portrayed Santa Claus more than 10 years ago. He puts out a big sign in his yard to solicit donations.
