Health care, Medicaid enrollment assistance offered in Elgin

Administer Justice, a local nonprofit offering free legal aid, financial counseling and educational services, has partnered with VNA Health Care to provide free Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment assistance.

On the third Tuesday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., VNA Health Care Certified Navigators will be available at the office of Administer Justice, 1750 Grandstand Place, Elgin.

The next events will be Tuesdays, Nov. 18, Dec. 16 and Jan. 20.

VNA's Certified Navigators will assist individuals who qualify with Medicaid enrollment, which is ongoing. Individuals with a qualifying life event may be eligible to enroll now in private coverage through the Marketplace.

The Affordable Care Act year 2 enrollment will run from Nov. 15, 2014 to Feb. 15, 2015.

VNA Health Care is a humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, dependable, and comprehensive primary care and community health services.

Administer Justice, founded in 2000, serves low-income individuals in need of civil legal assistance or financial counseling.
