Schaumburg joins top seeds in final four at Fremd

In the Fremd boys water polo sectional, it will be Conant facing Schaumburg in a 7 p.m. Friday semifinal, and Fremd meeting Hoffman Estatesin the following game.

The top-seeded Cougars advanced with a 14-2 decision against Elk Grove on Thursday, while fifth-seed Schaumburg eliminated Hersey, the No. 4 seed and MSL East champ, 9-7.

No. 2 seed Fremd advanced with a 16-12 victory over St. Viator, and No. 3 seed Hoffman Estates got 8 goals from senior all-conference choice Adam Pasnicki to stop Prospect 10-6.

Mundelein sectional

Lake Forest eliminated Wheeling 10-6, but No. 3 seed Palatine rolled into the semifinals by topping Buffalo Grove 23-3.

Top seed Stevenson will meet No. 5 Libertyville in Friday's 7 p.m. semifinal, followed by Palatine vs. No. 2 seed Lake Forest.
