CLC Board of Trustees

The Daily Herald has made their recommendations for the Board of Trustees. How they did this is not clear. They are not at the college on a daily basis nor do they know the needs of the students and faculty. The College of Lake County Federation of Teachers has made its recommendations for the April 9, 2013 CLC Board of Trustees election. We recommend candidates Phil Carrigan (Waukegan), Jeanne Dauray (Round Lake) and John Lumber (Ingleside) for the two available seats.

We do not recommend candidate Darl Drummond (Gurnee) because we believe it is too soon after her retirement from CLC to enable her to make an effective transition to the role of Board Member.

We do not recommend candidate Barbara Oilschlager (Grayslake) because of concerns about her lack of support of CLC president Jerry Weber. We also believe that having served four consecutive terms on the CLC Board (24 years) it is time for Ms. Oilschlager to step aside and that would be most productive to allow another to assume the duties of CLC Board Member.

Let the voting begin ... VOTE FOR Phil Carrigan and/or Jeanne Dauray and/or John Lumber. These are the people who are the best for CLC and most importantly the students. We must elect trustees who will put students FIRST.
