Glen Ellyn Chorus Hosts Holiday Guest Nights

The Village Vocal Chords chorus (the “VVC”) will be kicking off a busy Christmas singing schedule as soon as they return from their annual convention. The site of this year’s Harmony Inc. International Contest & Convention will be Orlando, FL. The chorus will be performing many times at the convention as the reigning HI women’s a cappella chorus champions, an honor they have won an unprecedented 18 times.

Upon their return, the VVC, who rehearse at St. Thomas United Methodist Church, Glen Ellyn, will be holding two guest rehearsals, on November 20 and 27. Any woman who attends these two rehearsals (7:00 pm – 8:30 pm) will be eligible to sing with the chorus at their Christmas concert on Monday, December 3. That concert will begin at 7:30, also at St. Thomas UMC, and is the first of many Christmas performances by the VVC in the western suburbs.

The Village Vocal Chords chorus is a local chapter of Harmony, Inc., an international, nonprofit, and educational organization for women barbershop singers. Chorus members hail from all over the Chicagoland area. The chorus is always interested in expanding its membership, and, if you are a woman who loves to sing, they will help you “find your voice”.
