Rep. Weber free prescription disposal event on Sept. 2 moved to Woodstock

Due to unanticipated circumstances, the location for state Rep. Tom Weber's (R-Lake Villa) free prescription drug drop-off event on Wednesday, Sept. 2, has been moved from Crystal Lake to Woodstock.

This event to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs will still take place from 9 a.m. to noon, but will now take place at the McHenry County Courthouse, 2200 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock, in partnership with the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

The event is outside and allows participants to remain in your vehicle during the collection of unwanted, unused or expired medications. Drivers should follow the marked lanes when entering and exiting the parking lot.

Accepted Medications: Prescription medications, prescription ointments & patches, pet medications, vitamins

Items Not Accepted: Needles, illegal drugs, liquids, and inhalers
