Itasca Bank & Trust Co. appoints Michael-Anne Peck as vice president and trust officer

Michael-Anne Peck, JD, CTFA was recently appointed vice president and trust officer at Itasca Bank & Trust Co. in Itasca, Illinois.

She was previously the vice president and trust administrator at a regional bank with multiple offices in the Chicago area and has over 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney specializing in family law, estate planning and real estate. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, Valparaiso, Indiana and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Most recently, Peck earned the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor certification, a professional designation offered by the American Bankers Association.

"With a career that spans over 25 years, all in the Chicago market, Michael-Anne's expertise as a trust officer and attorney will be a strong asset for the Bank's ability to meet the needs of our customers," said John Paul Sweeney, Vice President and Chief Trust Officer. "Her extensive experience and leadership abilities in family law, estate planning and real estate are key to the growth of the Itasca Bank & Trust Co. Trust Department."

Itasca Bank & Trust Co. is one of a small number of privately-owned community banks with a full trust department. Peck joins the team of trust department trust officers which includes John Paul Sweeney, JD, CPA, MTax, vice president and chief trust officer; and Jerry Wiel, JD, vice president.

"While many community banks have exited the trust market, we feel differently about the trust and financial planning opportunities. We think there is a great need for these services and we intend to continue serving and expanding in those areas," said Jim Mensching, president.

Peck is the past chair of the DuPage County Bar Association Estate Planning and Probate Committee. In her free time she and her daughter run a nonprofit animal rescue. She resides in Wheaton with her family.
