GIVE MOTHER'S DAY AND FATHER'S DAY GIFTS THAT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE

Your Parents Will Appreciate Your Thoughtfulness

Are you racking your brain trying to figure out what gift to give this year for Mother's and/or Father's Day? Are you tired of giving the same type of gifts every year- sweaters, blouses, shirts, candy or plants?

Here is a new gift idea for you to consider from Senior Helpers.

"You can help your loved one by giving your mother, father or any relative you love a minimum of two hours of help," said Operations Manager Robert Bicanic of the Northbrook-based Senior Helpers office serving the north and northwest suburbs. "The two hour minimum is not restrictive and can be used for any of our services."

Senior Helpers provides caregivers and personal assistance for a wide variety of support services. They can help with everything from personal care, bathing, dressing and meal preparation to housekeeping (laundry, vacuuming and dusting, washing dishes, etc.) and transportation. They help with hobbies such as scrap booking, games, gardening, etc. There are more than 50 types of support services their clients need.

"In addition, Senior Helpers can help someone with a broken leg or hip to someone who had recent surgery," said Bicanic. "Someone is also able to care for your plants and pets."

Senior Helpers has qualified people who are able to help 24-hours a day, seven days a week if need be. The goal is to keep their clients safe and healthy as possible, including medicine reminders, walking assistance, personal hygiene assistance and diet monitoring.

If you are unsure what type of service to recommend for your loved one, Senior Helpers can make suggestions and guide you to the type of help that would be the best gift for them.

Senior Helpers In-Home Caregivers is the Alzheimer's Foundation of American Affiliate Office. Their caregivers also work with many Parkinson patients as well.
