Dining events: Moretti's Pizza Pub now open in Crystal Lake

Moretti's Pizza Pub debuts

Sad to see Finn McCool's in Crystal Lake go? On Thursday, Nov. 12, it's being replaced with Moretti's Pizza Pub, which is being billed as a more intimate neighborhood version of Moretti's with more beverages and a streamlined menu featuring pub food and thin and deep-dish pizza. “The Pizza Pub is Moretti's cool kid brother,” owner Mark Hoffmann said in a prepared statement. “It's about trending tastes in burgers, wings, apps, salads and, of course, the latest in our ever-evolving pizza menu. We have a game-changing new crispy cheese crust on all our deep-dish pizzas.” Plus, the pub will be offering the new Chicago Classic with a layer of sausage baked in as well as a three-cheese stuffed-crust pizza made with mozzarella, asiago and Parmesan. And don't forget sandwiches like the Italian beef, buttermilk fried chicken, chicken parm and more. The pizza pub will be open for takeout and delivery to start. Once state restrictions on indoor dining are lifted, the dining room and bar - featuring HD flat-screen TVs, a video gaming cafe, a jukebox and three party spaces - will open. Delivery is available through the restaurant and DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats and Postmates.

Moretti's Pizza Pub is at 72 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake, (815) 356-1155, morettispizzapub.com/.
