Leadership Greater McHenry County announces 2022 intern program
Leadership Greater McHenry County has opened the application process for the Summer 2022 LGMC Nonprofit Leadership Intern Program.
The program allows current college students to explore the career potential that exists within the nonprofit sector while developing management and leadership skills.
Six interns will be selected for the summer 2022 program through a competitive application and interview process.
The program is open to college students from all majors.
Interns will be matched with participating McHenry County nonprofit organizations based on interests, skills, and the host's specific needs.
During the eight-week paid internship, students will gain firsthand knowledge of the McHenry County nonprofit community, its leadership, and many organizations. Host organizations for 2022 include: Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County, Family Health Partnership Clinic, Independence Health & Therapy, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) McHenry County, Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association, and United Way of Greater McHenry County.
Applications for the Summer 2022 program are being accepted through Jan. 28.
