Storytimes coming to Glen Ellyn neighborhood parks

Glen Ellyn Park District and Glen Ellyn Public Library have partnered to offer a new "Storytime in the Park" series this summer.

Each week will feature stories from amazing authors, music and movement in a different local park and with a new theme. Storytimes will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, June 18 through July 23.

Participants should plan to bring a blanket and bug spray. Events are free and open to all ages.

The schedule will be:

• June 18: Nature at Surrey Park, 95 Surrey Drive

• June 25: Dragons at Stacy Park, 50 Geneva Road

• July 2: Robots at Newton Park, 707 Fairview Ave.

• July 9: Food at Glen Ellyn Manor Park, 375 Illinois St.

• July 16: Sports at Spalding Park, 22W325 Second St.

• July 23: Sharks at LakeFoxcroft Park, 2S540 Lambert Road.

In case of inclement weather, Storytime in the Park will be moved inside the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Updates will be posted to the Glen Ellyn Park District's weather hotline at www.gepark.org/weather.
