I've shot many tours of the Viking ship that is currently housed in Geneva's Good Templar Park. invariably I fall back on an oldie but a goody photo cliché of someone peering through one of the oar holes. But on a recent visit there was a group with several visually impaired people who were getting a tour. The tour was more aural and tactile in nature so when Adele Moller, of California reached up to feel the oar hole, I once again fell victim to the old cliché, albeit this time with a bit of a twist. This photo was published in the Perspective column in the print edition of the Daily Herald.

Former White Sox player Mike Huff helps Chester Serkland, 8, of Libertyville to throw as he works with kids helping them with their baseball skills at the White Sox Summer Baseball Camp at the Libertyville Sports Complex on Wednesday. Huff also played at New Trier High School and Northwestern University. "This is incredibly exciting to see the excitement in the kids, to see the eagerness to learn. This is a great complex and a great community. And to be able to help in a small way these kids to continue to build in the love of the game is just awesome," said Huff after instructing young children on how to throw properly. There were 28 children participating in the four-day camp.
