My daughter and aspiring ballerina, Autum Hosticka. Autum has been dancing for 8 years and trains 6 days a week. I like to have photo shoots with her to have a photo history of her progression toward her dream of dancing professionally. This is one of my favorite pictures I have taken of her. It was a very cold day when I shot this. To escape the bitter wind we went in this tunnel. I love her expression and the lighting in this picture.

As a restoration architect working as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Prizren, Kosovo, focusing on cultural recovery in the "new" Eastern European nation of the Republic of Kosovo, I met this Albanian Kosovar gentleman, Besim, when I was working at the "Broken Mosque" (Namazxhah), an outdoor, roofless mosque built in 1455 by the conquering Ottoman Turks to be used by their military to pray. He was curious as to my work to document the structure. Besim wears the traditional plis, a wool headpiece.
