Pucher leads Grayslake N. to victory

Grayslake North's boys basketball team got back in the win column Tuesday night.

Matt Pucher scored 21 points to lead Grayslake North to a 66-61 win over host Antioch in nonconference action, snapping the Knights' five-game losing streak.

Grayslake North (8-15) also got 12 points from Grant Henricksen and 10 from Ross Sauer.

Antioch was led in scoring by Kyle Haley's 16 points.

Grant 52, Vernon Hills 49: Gilbert Sheehan scored 16 points and A.J. Spohr added 15, as the Bulldogs won in North Suburban Prairie Division action.

Shane Richardson chipped in 12 for Grant (14-10, 7-4), which won its third in a row.

Vernon Hills (13-10, 7-3) received 22 points from DaVaris Daniels.

The two teams rematch Friday at Vernon Hills.

Waukegan 69, Libertyville 54: Jereme Richmond had 25 points and Colin Nickerson 19 for the visiting Bulldogs in the nonconference game.

Libertyville (8-16) got 12 points from Paul Aynilian and 10 from Jeremy Letchford.
