Fecho helps Glenbard North edge Naperville Central

Glenbard North 2, Naperville Central 1: Winning pitcher Lilly Fecho tripled in Alyssa Jasinski with the tying run in the top of the sixth, then scored the eventual game-winner on an Alexis Simone RBI single in Carol Stream. Fecho (12-5) struck out 11, allowing just an unearned run on 2 hits for Glenbard North (14-5, 5-2 DuPage Valley Conference).

Neuqua Valley 11, Oswego 1: Jenna Marsalli slugged her ninth homer, drove in 3 runs and scored 3 for Neuqua Valley (17-7), which won its seventh straight game. Colleen Hohman went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored and winning pitcher Jena Boudreau (7-2) struck out six.

Sandburg 4, Glenbard South 1: Sandburg, among the top teams in the Chicago area, took advantage of an uncharacteristic 5 Raiders errors for a non-conference win in Glen Ellyn. Glenbard South (20-3) scored its only run in the seventh on back-to-back doubles by Tess DiIorio and Hannah Davey.

Benet 4, Fenwick 1: Allyson Staats twirled a 2-hitter, striking out six, for the visiting Redwings (13-11, 5-4 East Suburban Catholic Conference). Nora McGuire went 2-for-4 with 2 doubles and scored 2 runs.

Wheaton North 6, Glenbard East 0: Paige Wilson went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI for the Falcons (15-5, 3-4 DVC) in Wheaton. Kahla Nolan (9-5) struck out eight. Paige Evangelista went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

St. Francis 10, Immaculate Conception 1: Laura Behnke homered and Blaine Carragher drove in 3 runs for the host Spartans (16-9, 7-4 Suburban Christian Conference), who snapped the Knights' 11-game winning streak. Taylor Ronchetto struck out nine. Gia Caliendo and Maria Kielizewski both went 2-for-3 for IC (14-6, 9-1 Suburban Christian).

Montini 2, Guerin 1: Val Pater's infield single scored Tori Shipbaugh, who had singled with two outs, in the bottom of the eighth in Lombard. Lara Mangialardi (12-8) had 5 strikeouts and allowed just 2 hits for Montini (12-13, 9-2 Suburban Christian Conference).

Lisle 11, Westmont 2: Melanie Early went 4-for-4 with a homer, double, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored for the visiting Lions (10-8, 6-4 Interstate Eight Conference). Colleen Drennan went 2-for-4 and scored 3 runs and Bekka Houda (7-4) struck out 12.

Downers Grove South 8, Willowbrook 1: Emma Topps homered for the second straight game and Katie Talbot (12-1) struck out 10 for the Mustangs (17-3, 6-0 West Suburban Gold Conference) in Villa Park. Marissa Mersch went 3-for-4 with a double and scored 2 runs.

Downers Grove North 5, Hinsdale Central 0: Kendall Ryndak (9-3) struck out 11 in a 2-hit shutout for the Trojans (18-5, 5-1 West Suburban Silver Conference).
