Music soothes, inspires and lifts our souls

"I will submit and consent to a parable or proverb; to the music of a lyre I will unfold my riddle my problem."

- Psalm 49:4 (AMP)

A good song can heal our hurts and cement dreams in our hearts. Music can help sooth our troubled souls.

I find when I turn on a good tune, it can help me to sing my blues away. I recently started listening to some of the old love songs I enjoyed when my husband and I dated. They bring a smile to my face and his, too!

When I go through troubles and need a boost of confidence, I listen to songs that speak to my heart about finding new attitudes and holding on in hope.

Many men and women in the Bible sang songs of their trust and devotion to God in troubled times. Hymns are filled of melodies and lyrics that make spirits soar. They bring encouragement and melt fears away.

I know on a down day, an upbeat tune can turn my down cast mood around and make me feel good. When my husband is working on a project and needs a boost of energy, he turns on old disco music to help raise his energy level and increase his productivity.

I even take some of the love songs I enjoy and sing them to God about my love for him.

Need a boost? Follow the example set by men and women of the Bible; their songs brought them through troubled times to triumphant times. Sing your blues away when times are tough.
