Harper’s LaMasse nets player of the week honor
Harper College outside hitter Lauren LaMasse (Hoffman Estates) has been named NJCAA Division III player of the week in women’s volleyball.
LaMasse had a season-high 13 kills and 4 blocks in helping the Hawks defeat ninth-ranked Joliet Junior College.
LaMasse earned a season-high 5 digs in a win over Division II opponent Lincoln College (Ill.).
“She has started right where she left off,” said Harper coach Bob Vilsoet of his sophomore.
Vilsoet credits LaMasse’s success to changes in her hitting approach.
LaMasse’s teammate Andraia Lega (Prairie Ridge) was named to the College of Dupage Classic all-tournament team.
