Grayslake Central’s baseball team scored in every inning on its way to a 12-1 win over visiting Crystal Lake Central in a Fox Valley Conference game Wednesday.

Austin Leggett and Austin Miller each had 3 hits, with Leggett driving in 3 runs and Miller scoring three times.

Cam Neely added a pair of hits and 2 RBI for Grayslake Central (7-4, 3-2), while Derek Idstein had a double and 2 RBI. Leggett picked up his third win, allowing 4 hits while striking out five.

Vernon Hills 4, Grant 3: Chris Marras hit the first pitch of the bottom of the sixth to tie the North Suburban Prairie Division game, and the Cougars scored the go-ahead run later in the inning on Steve Nelson’s RBI single.

Ryan Lane pitched a scoreless seventh and earned the win. He threw 2 innings in relief of starter Tyler Feece, who allowed 1 earned run over 5 innings.

Anthony Mazza had a double for Vernon Hills, and Tyler Coppney contributed a 2-run single.

Grant’s Jared Helmich doubled and went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. John Schenning had a single, an RBI and a walk.

Helmich suffered the loss.

Lakes 10, Wauconda 0: Nick Hibbing allowed 3 hits and struck out nine in a 5-inning complete game, improving to 3-1.

Chris Hoffman drove in 2 runs and scored twice for Lakes (7-7, 2-1 NSC Prairie), and Jake Brown had 2 hits and 2 runs scored.

Stevenson 6, Lake Forest 4: Ricky Kern’s sixth-inning home run pulled the Patriots even in the North Suburban Lake game, and Steve Galanopoulos knocked in the go-ahead run in the ninth with a two-out, RBI single.

Galanopoulos had 2 hits for Stevenson (9-2, 5-0). Tyler Radtke pitched 5 innings of 1-run ball in relief to earn the win. He struck out five and yielded 3 hits.
