Taylor Oberman went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, leading Libertyville’s softball team to a 9-4 win over visiting Antioch in a North Suburban Conference crossover Thursday.
Libertyville (2-7) also got doubles from Nicole Kruckman, Margaret Haws, Calley Kaluzny and Emily Gilbert.
Gilbert’s leadoff double sparked the Wildcats’ 3-run sixth, after they trailed 4-3 heading into the bottom of the inning. Gilbert also played solid defense in right field, coach Elissa Wisniewski said.
Antioch (7-7) got a home run from Katie Phillips and 2 doubles from Amber Mysliwiec.
Lake Zurich 11, Wauconda 1: The host Bears got 3-for-4 efforts from Maria Schroeder (double, triple, 2 RBI), Kasey Roe (2 runs, RBI) and McKenna Larson (triple, 2 runs, 2 RBI) in the North Suburban crossover.
Kelly Neises was 2-for-3 with a double, stolen base, walk, run and an RBI for the Bears. Christina Sandstedt went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run, and Carlee Parsons was 2-for-3 with 2 runs and a sacrifice.
Mallory Parsons also doubled for Lake Zurich (8-6), and Shannon McPeek had 4 strikeouts in a six-inning complete game. The 1 run she allowed was unearned.
Stevenson 17, North Chicago 1: Ali Castriano went 3-for-4 with a triple, and Lexi Yonkovic was 3-for-3 for the host Patriots in the North Suburban crossover.
Stevenson (2-10) also got 2 hits apiece from Morgan Manka, Sara Loerch, Maggie Thon and Maria Anagnostopoulos. Cailin Rubenstein and winning pitcher Kat Trotter both doubled. Trotter allowed 1 hit in the five-inning contest, while striking out eight and walking one.
Carmel 15, Marian Central 0: Amy Abel and Jenny Behan led a 17-hit attack with 3 hits apiece for the visiting Corsairs in the nonconference game.
Abel tripled, and Behan and Kathleen Felicelli both doubled for Carmel (6-5). Skyler Zak, Sally Snarski and Caitie Nelson contributed 2 hits apiece. Behan knocked in 3 runs, while Zak, Snarski, Madeline Felipez and Abby Andrejek each had 2 RBI.
Erika Schoenfeld pitched all 5 innings, striking out 11 and allowing only 1 hit.
Warren 14, Lakes 1: Kelly Majewski homered, doubled, drove in 4 runs and scored 3 runs for the Blue Devils in the North Suburban crossover.
Warren (13-2-1) was also led offensively by Megan Sowa (4-for-4, double, triple, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Anna Balch (3-for-4, 2 runs, RBI), Lisiann Rodriguez (2-for-3, triple, 2 runs, RBI) and Jessica Demski (3-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 runs).
Demski pitched a 3-hitter, allowing no earned runs.
Vernon Hills 10, Mundelein 2: The host Mustangs forced extra innings with 2 runs in the seventh, but the Cougars came back with 8 runs in the eighth to capture the North Suburban crossover.
Megan Meline went 4-for-5 with a home run, double and 5 RBI for Vernon Hills (10-5). Tori Smith (2 runs, RBI) and Carly Alm (2 runs) each had 2 hits, and Michelle Harris had a single, run scored and 2 RBI.
Meline (1-0) earned the win.
