Prasse sisters lead Benet to win
Benet 51, Providence 47:
Sidney Prasse scored 15 points and Christen Prasse 14 for the No. 3 Redwings (16-4, 5-1 East Suburban Catholic Conference), who hung on in New Lenox.
Benet, which won its 12th straight, led by 7 in the first half before Providence briefly took the lead in the third quarter. The Redwings played minus sharpshooter Madeline Eilers, out with a knee injury. Alyssa Jurges and Cassidy Glenn each scored 14 points for Providence (11-10, 2-3).
Waubonsie Valley 52, Lake Park 26:
The No. 2 Warriors bounced back from a loss to Benet at the McDonald's Shootout in a big way, jumping out to a 15-2 lead after a quarter in Aurora. Gratia Brooks scored 11 points and Rachael Ross and Becky Williford 10 apiece for Waubonsie (16-2, 7-1 Upstate Eight Valley). Alyssa Hernandez paced Lake Park (8-11, 2-6) with 8 points.
Lisle 33, Westmont 20:
Darian Payne powered in 16 points for the Lions (17-5) at the Interstate Eight Conference Tournament.
Aurora Christian 57, Wheaton Academy 43:
The Eagles used a 17-5 first quarter to fuel a Suburban Christian Conference Gold win in West Chicago. Sarah Drury scored 16 points and Ally Witt 12 for Wheaton Academy (12-6, 5-2).
