Antioch finishes off Wauconda
Antioch started slowly, scoring 4 points in the first quarter. But the Sequoits boys basketball team finished strong to defeat Wauconda 58-54 Friday night in North Suburban Prairie Division action.
Kyle Melton and William Waschow scored 14 points apiece for Antioch, and Kyle Haley added 12 points.
Leading the Bulldogs was Tyler Gick, who scored 19 points. Matt Stonis added 14 points for Wauconda.
Grayslake North 71, Crystal Lake Central 60: A 27-point performance by Matt Pucher helped Grayslake North get the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division victory.
Teddy Ludwick added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Knights. Ross Sauer contributed 12 points, including an 8-for-8 performance from the free throw line.
Grant 55, Lakes 46: Double-digit performances by three Grant players gave the Bulldogs the victory in the North Suburban Prairie game.
Shane Richardson scored 20 points, Jerry Gaylor added 12 points, and Tom Bronken contributed 10 points for Grant.
The Eagles' top scorers were John Androus, who finished with 14 points, and Tyler Swindle, who added 13 points.
Zion-Benton 84, Mundelein 77: The Zee-Bees overcame a 56-39 halftime deficit to defeat the Mustangs in North Suburban Lake Division action.
North Chicago 105, Vernon Hills 72: The Warhawks (16-5, 11-0) defeated the Cougars as Aaron Simpson had 34 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Mike Simpson added 16 points and 8 assists.
