It's a Dual Sports Celebration at Woodlands Academy
Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart students, faculty and staff gathered in front of the school in a display of the Cubs' Fever and school spirit that was sweeping the all-girls high school in Lake Forest Friday, Oct. 28.
They were celebrating the first World Series game to be played at Wrigley Field since 1945 later that day as well as their volleyball team's IHSA Class 2A Regional championship won the day before.
Woodlands Academy advances to the Latin School of Chicago Sectional following the team's win over Chicago's DePaul College Prep (25-19; 25-19) in the final round of the Willows Academy Regional in Des Plaines Oct. 27. The Wildcats will face IC Catholic Prep from Elmhurst Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the first round of sectional play.
